Retro style

These are super lightweight well-made sunglasses. They do have a pretty retro 80s vibe with the big square lenses. I’m not sure how I feel about how they look on me. What I don’t like is there is a blue stripe across the lenses. You don’t really see it that well unless you look hard, but it’s noticeable when looking through the glasses. These are probably better for a man’s face than a woman’s just due to the shape and style and the thick looking but super light weight frames. They claim to be extremely scratch resistant and from my use, that has been true so far. One thing to note, mine appeared to be someone’s return as the seal was cut open on the box and the inner plastic bag looked like it had been previously crumpled up.

Comfortable sunglasses for sports too

While I've mostly worn sports specific sunglasses due to fit reasons, the ear piece design of Maui Jim works perfect in staying in a comfortable fit so it doesn't move. The polarized lenses are high quality, there is always a small amount of color shift but it performs just like sunglasses you'd wear for various types of sports. What I really like about the sunglasses frame is how durable it is, the whole thing feels solid without flex. The folding case is much nicer compared to other premium brands who just use a slip case.Overall I've been impressed at how comfortable it is. If you play sports or just golf on the weekends, wearing high quality sunglasses will help. Highly recommended.

Great Maui Jim quality - very large, would be very large on a small woman.

These are high quality Maui Jim sunglasses, complete with a Maui Jim case. The blue tint gives a slight orange cast to your vision, but it's by no means objectionable.These are LARGE sunglasses. I tried them on my wife, but they were way too large to look decent. I have a large head and you can see how large they are even on my big ole punkin.I love them. They're now my favorite sunglasses.Highly recommended.

Lightweight, Comfortable & Non-Glare Sunglasses

These classic styled, lightweight Maui Jim sunglasses really cut the glare when you’re out in the sun. These glasses seem to enhance colors while cutting the glare. They work very well and fit my husband’s face perfectly. However, being a smaller person, they are a bit large on my face. He got the Tokyo Tortoise color and they are very nice looking. It is a subdued tortoise colored frame. It is a nylon frame that should be more durable than typical plastic ones. The glasses came with a cool triangular shaped hard case, that folds down flat when you’re wearing the glasses. The flat case can then slide into a pants or jacket pocket easily. These are quality sunglasses.

Classic Maui Jim quality sunglasses

I ordered these Maui Jim sunglasses because of their reputation for high quality sunglasses. I recently broke some polarized Ray Bans I'd had for quite a few years and these seemed like a good replacement and nice change of style.These are indeed high quality sunglasses. They just feel a lot more solid and substantial than cheap sunglasses and the lenses are a pleasure to look through. One of my favorite things about these is the way the arms kind of spring into place and lock in the open position when you open them. This is especially handy when driving when you want to put on the sunglasses with one hand as the arms stay locked open to easily slide onto your face.The matte tortoise shell pattern on the ones I ordered looks subtle and stylish. I'm very pleased with these and think they'll last for a nice long time.

What a great deal

I live in a relatively high cost of living area, and was recently at the optometrist to get my eyes checked. We also have vision insurance, so we end up getting new glasses at the glasses shop attached to the optometrist. I was looking for new sunglasses and couldn’t find anything that I really loved, but the closest pair that I liked was a pair of Maui Jim’s. I asked the sales person what the cost would be and he quoted me some ridiculous high price basically saying that the lenses themselves were $500 and with the prescription it would be at least be a few hundred dollars extra. He said apparently this brand has some crazy patented lens that makes it very desirable. And our vision insurance did not cover this brand. So when I saw these on Amazon for a much more reasonable price, I thought it was worth trying. I am very picky about sunglasses and I usually only wear rectangular glasses, so I was very hesitant to buy this shape, but they’ve definitely grown on me. When you put a new pair of glasses on, it always takes your brain a few days to adapt to using them, but I love how they are a light shade. Today was a weird sunny and cloudy day that just kept switching all day long, and wearing the sunglasses while driving was helpful as it somehow made the cloudy, dreary parts brighter, and yet still helped create shading when the sun came out. The square lenses have more coverage than my regular rectangular shape, which I like. And I love the tortoise frames. Very happy with my purchase, much more economical, then the local shop!

Very Comfortable!

These glasses fit so well, are lightweight and don’t leave marks on my nose. The lenses do have a strip mid lense… that I’m not a fan of the look of. It’s not super obvious but it’s there. Would prefer a solid colored lense. Definitely a good basic style that pretty much anyone can pull off. I’m a big fan of this brand as well. Comes with a nice, protective, magnetic case as well.

Very nice...But Huge...And...

These are nice sunglasses - good quality Maui Jim craftsmanship. They are lightweight. The lenses are clear and crisp to look through. The blue tint differs from a grey or black tint, but it still does shade the sun. They are comfortable to wear, and I'm glad they are polarized. There's a nice case that comes int he packaging. Overall all these are very nice glasses.However, do note that the lenses are huge. If you have a small or even possibly a medium size face, the lenses will be too big for you. Do the measurements of the lenses and make sure they'll look good on you. Also, this is why I took one star away: you can see your eyes through the lenses. That is, when someone looks at you from the right angle, they can see your eyes while you wear these glasses. I'm annoyed by that, so I took off one star. If you don't want people seeing your eyes through the lenses, don't get the blue ones!
